El Gaucho is a historic saddlery in the heart of Rome, a point of reference for riders and equestrian enthusiasts since 1992. Founded by Oreste Mascalchi , the business began as an artisan leatherworking workshop, thanks to the training received from the master saddlers of the historic Italian saddlery EM Lastrai .
Oreste's professional growth continued in the United States with a master's degree at the prestigious WESA in Colorado , making El Gaucho Sport one of the first shops in Italy specialized in the production of accessories for western riding .
Over the years, the saddlery has expanded its offerings to include English riding , always maintaining craftsmanship, quality materials, and attention to detail at its core. From this philosophy, the exclusive Mascalchi line was born, a symbol of our style and our experience in the equestrian sector.
One of our strong points is the customization service : we create Custom embroidery, sublimation, and digital printing for saddle pads and accessories. Thanks to our on-site embroidery machine, we also offer express embroidery, allowing you to customize your items quickly, without the need for external shipping.
